I am a Galway-based visual artist, and my work is deeply rooted in the concept of re-representing the world as a series of interconnected shapes. I am a graduate of the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), where I earned my degree in Fine Art—specializing in Painting, Art History, and Art Criticism—in 2016. My creative process primarily involves mixed media, including oils, acrylics, and ink. For me, my art career represents a "returning to my first love," as I spent several years living abroad and focusing on my family before I decided to pursue a formal art education as a mature student.
My professional recognition began to take shape when my final-year degree work was selected for the prestigious RDS Visual Arts Awards. Since then, I have been involved in several notable exhibitions throughout Galway, including the 2014 show Ephemeral at the Town Hall Theatre and a group exhibition at the Galway City Museum. A particularly meaningful milestone for me was my 2020 collaboration with my father, titled Quiet Places and Objects Trouvés. Hosted at Anton’s Café, this exhibition featured my collection of "quiet" paintings, which I designed to offer observers a sense of escape, with proceeds from the sales going to support the Galway Hospice.
